Makes Russ and Benjamin dull boys. Ah summer. The sweltering, dog days of summer. On Saturday, after doing some chores, Benjamin and Russ pulled out a Slip 'n Slide, hooked it up to the water hose, and decided to cool off.

As I watched them, I realized that they could really get their velocity up by squirting some Dawn dish washing liquid on the slip 'n slide. Yeah. It worked. That sparked a race. Who can hit the checkered flag first?

The soap made it so slippery that Benjamin would fly off the end of it.

It was a good way to cool off in the afternoon. I was tempted, but didn't participate. It was fun to just watch. We finally rolled it up and will lay it out again maybe this weekend after we get finished butchering 70+ chickens! We'll be plenty hot and dirty by then.
